A practical component aimed at ensuring students can accurately identify herbal material used as medicines. Includes the skills required for identification, including botany, plant morphology and use of a botanical key for herbal medicines. (Course duration – 30 hours)

Expands on THE100, exploring in greater depth the principles of herbal treatment on all major body systems. (Course duration – 100 hours)

TOX100 Toxicology & Drug interactions

$605 incl GST

Examines the nature of pharmaceutical drugs and the possible risks that might be involved when concurrently using herbal medicines. Emphasis is placed on the more frequently used drugs that are prescribed for common conditions with the potential for contraindications with herbal remedies. (Course duration – 40 hours)
